Play like a Tudor this summer at Little Moreton Hall

Why not head to Little Moreton Hall in Cheshire for a day out this summer holiday? There are Tudor games to play indoors and out and a children’s trail inspired by Tudor food. We have lunchboxes available from the tea rooms and plenty of space for picnics outside.

We have outdoor games for when the weather is sunny, including archery, quoits and skittles.  If it’s raining, there are indoor options to keep dry, such as draughts and nine men’s morris.  Don’t forget to call in the shop and pick up some souvenirs – you can even buy a Tudor game to take home! With places for play and lots to learn, it’s the perfect opportunity to escape from routine for a few hours.

We’re open every day until 1 September (11am – 5pm, last entry 4.30pm), so you can join us any time.  Entry is free for National Trust members and under 5s.

For a full day out, you could combine a trip to the Hall with a visit to Hare Hill Gardens in Macclesfield, where you can follow the Wind in the Willows trail and discover the secrets of the wooded garden.

These are the places that make us.
