Potato Day in Mold

Saturday 11 February 2017
Mold

If you’d like to get your little one to grow vegetables, why not start with every child’s favourite – the potato! With over 80 varieties of seed potatoes plus onion sets, garlic, vegetable seed and plants, herbs and soft fruit for sale – this event is a must for budding gardeners.

Potatoes can be bought in small quantities of 1kg nets, so if you’d like to try more than one variety to see which your family likes the taste of, now’s your chance.

Traditionally potatoes are grown in trenches, but they are quite versatile and can be grown in black bins or tough woven polythene planters measuring around 45cm high x 35cm wide.
