Moss Valley County Park

Ponciau Banks Park
Urban park . BMX park and skate park. Play area for young children. Nature area.
Large sand beaches but with strong currents.
Barkby Beach is a large sandy beach part of Gronant Dunes. Pitch and putt picnic and play areas nearby.
Central Beach is close to town centre and has wheelchair access to promenade.
Ffrith Beach is split into two areas and one half is dog friendly all year.
Family friendly beach, sandy with lots of traditional resort attractions, donkey rides, amusement arcades etc.
Stryt Las Country Park
Between Rhos and Johnstown, near Wrexham
SSSI wetland area with extensive pathways, a large lake and small ponds. Organised pond dips. Don’t miss Norris the Newt!
Ty Mawr Country Park
Country Park by the River Dee part of the Clwydian Range and Dee Valley Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Great views, walks to the Pontcysyllte Aqueduct and Cefn Viaduct. Kids’ farm with rare breeds, donkeys, ponies, goats, ducks and geese. Family friendly events throughout the year.
